Full-time students studying on campus are responsible for paying for classes each semester. Online students are considered part-time and pay only for the classes they enroll in. The price for tuition for full-time students is the “base tuition and fees”. *
You can also apply for financial aid through FAFSA, take out loans, and apply for Teaching and Research Assistantships through the ALEC Department.
Assistantships allow you to work with a faculty member teaching undergraduate courses or conducting research. Assistantships typically consist of 10-20 hours of work a week for which students receive a stipend each month. Tuition and a portion of student fees are also paid for by the ALEC Program.
*Tuition and fees are direct costs charged by the university. The cost of attendance also includes indirect cost allowances for food, housing, books, supplies and other expenses. You will not be billed by the university for these costs unless you live in university housing. Use the Illinois Cost Calculator for an estimated cost of attendance.
