The online Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications Master of Science degree enables students to complete web-based courses to meet the same requirements as the traditional on-campus degree program.

Some courses are synchronous, where online students log into an online portal simultaneously with other students and the course instructor. Some courses are asynchronous, where students complete their work at times independent of other students.

All synchronous courses required to graduate are offered during the evenings (Central Standard Time) at times convenient to students with daytime responsibilities.

Tuition for students enrolled in the online graduate program is lower than for on-campus students. Prospective students are welcome to "try out" our program by enrolling in a course as a "non-degree-seeking student" prior to applying.  Information on course registration can be found here.

The online program has identical requirements to the on-campus program, and upon completion, students earn a degree that is identical to on-campus students.

  • 32 hours of approved graduate level courses based on the these requirements
  • Must be completed within five years after admission to the graduate college

GRE scores are not required for this degree option.

Admissions into the online program are handled the same as our on-campus program. You will need to submit all application materials through the Graduate College.

If you would like to register for a course out before committing to our Master's program, you can enroll in classes as a non-degree seeking student.
